The Australian Observance of UN Day of Vesak is being organised by a group of Buddhists, lay and ordained, from a number of local Temples dedicated to marking this important and auspicious day.
Following a request from the Buddhist Federation of Australia, the Organising Committee was established in 2007; and has been working since then to create an event for the people of Australia to honour the official United Nations Day of Vesak
